A BAKERY FOR ALL

Little Red Hen Bakery is a place where we share our most cherished (and sometimes secret) recipes. In the Little Red Hen folktale, the Hen had to do all the work herself. At our bakery, it’s a team effort. From family recipes that have passed through generations to original creations that we’ve fine-tuned together, everything on our menu has a story to tell.

WOOD-FIRED BREAD

FRESH PASTRIES

COFFEE, TEA + ESPRESSO

ARTISAN BAGELS

BREAKFAST + LUNCH

MIMOSAS, BEER + WINE

LOCAL SUPPORTING LOCAL

We only feed our community the best! That’s why we proudly source from local farms wherever possible, including organic grains and sausage from Mountain Mama Milling/Gosar Natural Foods (Monte Vista, CO), dairy from Morning Fresh (Bellevue, CO) and meat from River Bear (Denver, CO). We’re also active members of the Colorado Grain Chain. Love to bake at home? We’ve got local flour for sale and we’re always happy to share a dollop of “Carl” the sourdough starter for FREE! Carl has been in Emily’s family for over 40 years!

MEET EMILY

Owner of Little Red Hen

A few of her favorite things include her mom’s honey whole wheat bread, strong coffee, her rescue dog Tundra, and her husband Andrew, owner of 7000 Feet Running Company a few blocks away. She’s occasionally known to cry tears of joy when eating sourdough straight from the oven. When she’s not baking her buns off, you can find her hiking the beautiful Salida area trails.

“Holy sweet things this bakery knows what it’s doing. The gluten free offerings, while limited, are out of this world good. Highly recommend showing up early to get the freshest of the fresh.”
